Homo Sapiens, Palazzo Delle Esposizioni, Rome

For the first time ever, an international pool of significant scientists have reconstructed the roots and paths of human population, and have created an incredible depiction of the history of human evolution for the exhibition 'Homo Sapiens' at Palazzo Delle Esposizioni in Rome.

Kim L Pace's film, 'A La Recherche du Temps Perdu' has been selected for 'Fatti un film' - short film contest that accompanies the exhibition, and brings artists' and film makers' perspectives to the subject of human evolution. The exhibition continues until April 9th, 2012.

Gravity is a research project at Sheffield Institute of Arts at Sheffield Hallam University and the Millennium Gallery, Sheffield. Through a series of lectures, publications and exhibitions, the Gravity guest lecture series examines the contemporary relationship between making visual art and its sites of production and display. To begin the research a series of public lectures will examine the ways in which emotional and subjective encounters with objects can generate new work, methods and methodologies, philosophies and u-turns.
